Over recent times, the Australian Quality Skills Authority (ASQA), have been reviewing the National Standards for RTO’s 2015 (SRTO) with the view of implementing new standards with a greater focus on a process approach and RTO's implementing a self-assurance model.
In 2019, Standards Australia developed standards to specify the requirements of a management system for educational organisations. These standards, AS ISO 21001-2019 – Educational organizations – Management systems for educational organizations, have been reproduced from and are identical to the international standard ISO 21001-2018 – Educational organizations – Management systems for educational organizations.
The requirements of AS ISO 21001 are generic and applicable to any organisation (regardless of size, type, or method of delivery), that uses education and training products (Training Packages) to support the development of competence through teaching, learning or research, regardless of the organisations size, type or method of delivery. The standards are also aligned with ISO 9001 – 2015 and conform to ISO’s requirements for management system standards.
To support RTO’s to achieve the requirements of the revised ASQA Standards when they are released, John Price and Rodney Cryer have combined their experiences in quality and training to develop a Quality Systems Manual and supporting resources that are consistent with ASQA’s student centric model. Our products align to ISO 9001 – 2015 with the additional focus of AS ISO 21001 - 2019 for education and training and have been mapped to support RTO compliance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (SRTO's) 2015 and where applicable the National Code 2018 for CRICOS providers.
