There is an increased need for education and training providers to evaluate the extent and continue to improve their ability to meet the requirements of students and other customers, and therefore ensuring the continuation of improved products and services.
The quality requirements of AS/ISO 21001 are additional to the compliance requirements of the SRTO and CRICOS standards as they focus on enhanced interactions between the RTO, staff, the learner and other customers. The standards provide guidance on how to deliver quality outcomes in this challenging environment.
Quality within the education and training sector differs from other sectors in that successful processes maximize the chance that the student will succeed, though the provider cannot guarantee that outcome. The effort and capability of the student, the training provider and their staff are crucial variables for the training process to be successful.
The Quality Manual and supporting resources developed by John and Rodney may provide benefits to organisations intent on demonstrating best practice in the local market or those attracting overseas students and establishing commercial links with other countries.
