John Price & Associates Pty Ltd has been established for almost 35 years and has been involved in managing and providing professional development as well as auditing of training and assessment systems for a range of RTOs (public, enterprise and private) during that time.

John Price, the founder and Director of John Price & Associates Pty Ltd has been teaching, training, and assessing for more than 45 years. John’s activities have involved him in:

• Assisting a variety of businesses to become RTOs or re-register as an RTO with ASQA. These RTOs were from the public and private sectors and included both small and large enterprises with a variety of training products on their scope of registration.

• Conducting internal audits of compliance against the AQTF 2010 standards, the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations 2012, Essential Standards for both Initial and Continuing Registration; and the latest Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015.

• John was an ASQA panel auditor and audited, on behalf of ASQA, high performing RTOs that had a delegation from ASQA to manage their own scope of registration. 

• Conducting a range of professional development activities and workshops nationally and internationally on a range of VET related topics such as but not limited to: Meeting compliance requirements; Internal auditing; Developing assessment tools, including those for RPL; Systematic Validation of Assessment; and Maintaining Trainer and Assessor vocational currency

John comes well equipped to assist businesses to become certified to International Quality System Standards. His experiences in this area commenced in 1988 and as far back as the late 1990’s he assisted a large enterprise RTO to align their nationally accredited compliance with the Australian VET standards to the ISO 9001 standards, and what was then the interpretation for Education and Training systems, HB90.7, a fore-runner to ISO21001.

Rodney Cryer is a Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Employment specialist helping group training organisations (GTO) and registered training organisations (RTO) including CRICOS registered providers to successfully manage their accreditation, regulation, legislative compliance and prepare for and meet audit requirements. 

With more than 20 years in vocational education and training across the public and private sectors, Rod brings extensive experience of VET, GTO and RTO management and compliance requirements to help your organisation deliver quality and compliant services to your customers. 

When you’re providing important services day in and day out, it can be hard to see where things could be improved. Rod and his network bring fresh eyes and a detailed approach to help your staff identify what needs attention and coach them through the development and implementation of any changes.

Rod has represented the Northern Territory at a national level on a range of working groups and was an elected member of the National Apprenticeship Employment Network Board, influencing policy and direction on key issues affecting the vocational education and training sector including the national harmonisation agenda for apprenticeships and traineeships and the design and development of the current National Standards for GTOs 2017.
